Dear Quinn at 4 months

Quinn, you are baby perfection. You are so happy, you smile for everyone. You sleep through the night almost every night and have done so since you were about 1 month old. You wake up around 6 or 7am, eat, and go back to sleep for a few more hours. Sigh, bliss.

I brought you for your 4 month appointment last week and you are such a big healthy girl! You weigh 15lbs8oz and you are 26" tall, 95% for both. Your head is off the charts (just like the rest of your family.)Your hair is coming in evenly and looks very full. It looks like it might be blond like your sister's but it a bit darker right now. Your eyes are still blue, a beautiful darker ocean blue, like Tata's.

You started eating rice cereal this week and you are doing ok. You get fed up (get it) with the process pretty easily and cry harder than I've ever seen you cry at about bite 10. We tried bananas tonight and that went a little better but still ended in tears.

You are still working on rolling over and will succeed any day. I think I've stunted your progress by keeping you up on the counter away from your sister's torment. Time to bring out the playyard!

You like to lay on your back and look up at the pretty lights and butterflies on your activity mat and have begun to enjoy your jumparoo. especially the spinning toy on the side.

Just today you discovered your hands! You ball them into fists and hold them together and stare at them while you slowly turn them around in circles.

You have the cutest little feet with "pinky" toes that tuck completely under your fourth toe. So nibble worthy!

You are totally ticklish. Your neck, your belly, your sides and your feet. You laugh, laugh, laugh! It's irresistible, my sweet.

We are headed to Rhode Island on Wednesday to spend 2 wonderful weeks with the family. We can't wait for you to meet your cousin Juliette and the rest of the family and to celebrate Auntie Liz and Bruce's wedding! Too bad we will be a little too early to see the leaves turn but we will be there for Auntie Amanda, Uncle Wyatt and CeCe's Birthdays, yay!

Peace Out, Mama

Grammie is here... yay!

I can't believe that Grammie has already been here for 4 days! Time is flying. Thankfully we have many days to come. Here are a few shots of us at the Nasher Sculpture Gallery (and alot more here) yesterday. I love having people come visit... it actually gets us out to see what's going on in the big city!

Water Baby

Quinn adores bathtime with Mommy, she was smiling away! Such a nice way to spend a Friday night.

Auntie Amanda swoops into town

We had a great visit with Auntie Amanda last week. It was short but we made the most of it. I think that I actually had the most fun as Rick took both afternoons off so that I could spend time with sister. We cocktailed by the (neighbors) pool, we went out on the town, we got our nails did, we FINALLY saw The Hangover, we lunched! So much fun. We did spend SOME time with the children... here are a few pictures to prove it.

Don't Quinn and Auntie Amanda look like partners in crime? I love it.

We miss you (and your "bootiful earrings") already. Come back soon!

Summer fun!

It's been H-O-T here but we have made it outside to enjoy the yard a few times. Rick has put alot of time into keeping it looking nice... with a PUSH MOWER!! The least we can do is enjoy it.

Smiley little Quinn!

She's a poet and didn't even know it...

Clare's new thing is rhyming everything she says. for example, she just picked up the 3000 photo corners that she spilled on the floor in the office and turned to me and said... "I did it! Little Midget!" "Little Midget" is redundant but it's so funny that she called me "Little Midget" that we will let it slide.
